Horrible idea. Not only are these difficult to learn to use effectively, but they suffer from a profound weakness - you are trapped on the ground with the bully.If you miss setting such a technique, you're now in the position of trying to out wrestle someone most likely larger than you.If negotiation/submission fails, how do you disengage safely?If you over apply, the bully suffers a broken arm, unconsciousness, or worse.Most importantly, if the bully has friends, you are defenseless and on the ground - and easily kicked mercilessly.Read the book for the 1st half - then go find a good martial arts instructor to learn techniques more useful than offered here.

With the advent of social media bullying and cyber bullying has become a huge concern.I liked the book, first off, because it addresses both issues, leads parents and those attacked on a road to creating a timeline in case things escalate further. One should do all they can to not get physical, yet sometimes it happens. I think the author advocating more of a technical "give a bully a chance grappling style" is correct and not so destructive. Of course everyone has their own opinion, but for me, smashing someone's face in often leads to more issues. I recommend this book highly!
