About the Author

JOYCE MEYER has been teaching the Word of God since 1976 and in full-time ministry since 1980. These clouds would block the sun, cause everything to appear gloomy and gray, and leave a pervasive feeling of anguish. It felt like a self-defeating behavior, except I had no intention of sabotaging my happiness or joy, so I didn’t understand their presence. I've never suffered from depression and have a 'never say die' attitude; fear and defeat are not emotions I spend any time on. I am so grateful for this book! My sister recommended it to me and when I got it I couldn't put it down and I cried almost all the way through. It spoke to me so very deeply and I took note of all the scriptures that confirmed what I was reading. I have since been slowly letting go of things that have bugged and bothered me for YEARS. I am slowly, daily, reminding myself to have the MIND OF CHRIST. I first read this book about 15 years ago. It helped me at the time, and it is helping me now. I gave away my old copy years ago, and decided to buy it for myself and my daughter again. We frequently read books at the same time, and we have both been experiencing life challenges lately. Reading it at a new stage in my life, I am gaining new insights as if it is a brand new book. Everything in it is relevant to my life. Joyce Meyer shares how she struggled for years with negative thinking. It is not enough to just try to "think positive." If you are a Christian, then you know the Word of God (the Bible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ) contains many prescriptions for our lives that bring lasting healing -- way more healing than any pharmaceutical medication could bring. This book provides guidance on how to refocus our thoughts on God's promises and guidance and overcome the negative thoughts that might otherwise cause us to feel defeated, angry or lost. I highly recommend this book to anyone battling depression, suicide, anger, PTSD, and other challenges affecting emotions and mental health.

I don’t know where to start, other than to say to GOD be the GLORY!!! IF your wondering if you should buy this book-DO IT!!! If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, fear, doubt, self pity, jealousy and anything in between please READ THIS!!! I was delivered from all of these areas reading this book!!! So much so I’m going to read it again!!! Talking about having your eyes of understanding opened!!! Don’t wait until you’re done reading the book to study, and put the principles into practice- start immediately!!! Take notes and GO BACK and use them!!! Truly God used Joyce Myers when she wrote this book. It was through reading this that 1) I finally repented for something I had done 11 months ago 2) came to an understanding of my depression- what it is, where it comes from and how to fight it and last but not least 3) I received a revelation to a question that I’ve been asking God for 4 years!!! While reading this book God showed me the answer to every question and also revealed it was only supposed to be a 4 month process!!! But because of my disobedience, complaining and passiveness, it took me 48 months to be delivered from something that was supposed to only take 4 months...But to GOD be the GLORY!!! My fire has been rekindled and I can’t wait to tell the world about it 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Short, sweet and full of heat, Tory Baker does it again with a May-December instalove quickie. Lightning strikes for general contractor Dex when he sees Emma for the first time, and he pulls out all the stops to win over the woman he knows is the one. Dex’s caveman routine may reduce Emma to stuttering and stumbling but it doesn’t take long to convince her that they’re meant to be.

That was fun, funny, and sweet. The Hero knows his woman when he sees her. Our delicate heroine manages to stand up for herself when necessary, but agrees with her man too. The two of them are sweet together. Enjoyable read.

Super naughty and super sweet, it was awesome and I loved it so much! ^_^

Great book

I did not like this book...at all! The male protagonist was very antagonistic. The whole story he was overly "Alpha male" and verbally abusive to the female lead. The whole book was based on doing everything he wanted and nothing she wanted. I kept thinking he was going to hit her. She got out of one abusive relationship with her parents and got right into this abusive relationship with Dex. Emma was presented as a shy, yet strong young woman, but she wasn't strong at all. The severe age difference is another turn off. This whole book put me in a very bad mood. I'm fine with the whole alpha male thing, as long as there is an alpha female along side him.

3.5 StarsThis book wasn't too bad. This was a very quick Insta love romance, it is the story of Dex and Emma.I had a few problems with it one being the age difference, he was 32 and she was 19. I usually don't have a problem with age differences but she came off as a little too innocent. Second I really wanted to know how long he was celibate for, this is just a preference for me. It stated that it had been a while but isn't specific. I liked Dex! He was definitely an OTT sexy alpha male! This is the first book that I have read from Tory Baker and I will definitely read more from her!

It was cute. Dex was very alpha, but not abusively so.... Like bratty almost? Ha - he wanted everything at lightning speed. I liked him. Emma was cute if a bit too silly. "Dex honey" It was too much. Either say his name or an endearment... Both seemed awkward. Which she was but... I don't know. It didn't flow.Dual POV but it felt like it was mostly him which I don't mind. Decently edited.With just this, I would have given a solid 4 stars but it didn't have an epilogue. This is a preference of mine, especially with short stories... I want to sneak a peek at the HEA. I'll definitely read the author again. Sweet & quick weeknight read.

Short, sweet, safe and some steam. That's what I was looking for and that is what I got with this story. I love the blue collar hero falling in love at first sight with the sweet girl next door.-no cheating-no pushing away-instalove-older man/younger woman-safe - neither are with anyone else after meeting-no om drama-OW drama- an old FB shows up and causes some grief. Could have done without that.-just ok epilogue. It was only 3 months out so not nearly enough to satisfy me
